About Me
Biography & Academic Journey
I am a PhD Research Fellow at the University of Oslo working at the intersection of microbiology, genetics and bioinformatics. My research focuses on antimicrobial resistance and horizontal gene transfer in oral streptococci. I am interested in how mobile genetic elements such as plasmids and phages contribute to the spread of antimicrobial resistance genes in the human oral microbiome. I use a variety of methods including functional gene assays, comparative genomics, and machine learning to study these questions.
